Exciting news!!! We recently increased our starting wage rate and our shift premium rate. On Day 1 the wage rate for the Tool Maker role is $35.00. After 6 months your wage will increase to $36.00 and after 1 year the top rate is $37.00. Our afternoon shift premium is now $1.00.

General Summary:

We are looking for a Tool Maker to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate must support the manufacturing areas and maintain the overall Toyota Production System with focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity, launch activities and performing preventative maintenance.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and interpret blue prints, schematics, drawings and machine specifications. Must produce parts in a timely manner and complete all corresponding paperwork
  • Design and create using CAD as required; mold creation, repair and maintenance; maintain library of files/drawings and production of parts as required
  • Operate manual Milling/Lathe and/or grinding machines as within your scope of education and qualifications
  • Review charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed and plan best sequence of operations
  • Read AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings
  • Change/set cutting tools and modify/grind the tools as required
  • Report any quality, production or safety problems to Management
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance
  • Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the machine
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities
  • Perform engineering changes to tooling
  • Recommend technical solutions
  • Communicate with internal departments and external companies
  • Effective troubleshooting
  • Follow established safety rules
  • Any other duties as requested



  • Licensed Tool Maker
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • CNC knowledge for operating and programming (HAAS CNC Mill/Lathe, SolidWorks Cam and BobCAD Software)
  • Experience with jigs and fixtures
  • Knowledge of metal processing techniques (milling and turning)
  • Knowledge of the Toyota Production System would be an asset
  • Must be able to work in a multi-skilled environment with maintenance aptitude and willing to learn addition skills other than area of expertise
  • Bi-weekly shift rotation (days & afternoons) and mandatory overtime
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are required, as well as a strong analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Hands-on aptitude for investigating and solving problems
  • Excellent organization, time-management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starting, energetic and ability to manage competing priorities



  • $35.00/hr
  • Additional $1.00 shift premium when working the afternoon shift
