We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is a Licensed Millwright, Electrician or Robotics Programmer.
  • Has 5 to 10 years' experience in the above-mentioned skilled trade in an automotive setting (preventative maintenance, continuous improvement (Kaizen), breakdowns, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job functions of a leadership role
  • Is able to work rotating day and afternoon shifts (2-week rotation)
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime
  • Must have a good working knowledge of industrial technology.
  • Has a great attendance record and arrives to work on time
  • Has strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Has good analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Has a desire to learn skills other than your area of expertise
  • Has a good understanding of the Toyota Production System (this would be an asset)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing processes including injection molding, robotics, frame welding, seat assembly, IR ovens, presses and door panel assembly
  • Function as a first-line supervisor over team leaders and team members.
  • Leading and maintaining the maintenance and repair operations of assigned area
  • Direct and control maintenance activities on all production equipment, facilities, and utility systems to provide a reliable production platform.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills to maintain the highest level of safety and efficiency for machines, tools, equipment,
  • Lead continuous improvement activity for assigned area.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards, in TS19649, ISO 14001, environmental, safety, quality, job performance, setups, trouble shooting, continuous improvement, and maintenance and repair operations.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties

Shifts:

Day Shift: 6:15am to 4:45pm

Afternoon Shift: 5:45pm to 4:15am

***Shifts are around 10 hours long in the maintenance department. The amount of overtime and the shift end times vary due to business demands.
